Formula and convention
Liters = (wall area - openings) x coats / coverage x (1 + allowance / 100).A worked example
50 m² minus 5 m² of openings, two coats, 10 m²/L coverage, and 10% allowance requires 9.9 L.
Scope and precision
Use the coverage on the paint container. Texture, primer, color changes, and application method can alter consumption.
