How tile count works
Estimate tile count from area and tile dimensions.
Formula and convention
Tiles = ceiling(area x (1 + allowance / 100) / tile area). Tile area in m² = length x width / 10,000.A worked example
12 m² with 30 cm square tiles and 10% extra needs 147 tiles.
Scope and precision
Grout gaps and layout patterns are not modeled. Keep spare tiles from the same batch when color matching matters.
